Requirements:
-Graduation from an accredited technical college and passing the VTNE
-Holds a current Certification / License for CVT in WI. Agrees to continue CE to continue to be eligible for re-licensure bi-yearly.
-Specific skills. Proficiency in blood draws, catheter placement, intubation, microscopy skills, computational skills, extreme attention to detail and accuracy, general computer and English language communication skills sufficient for client and co-worker communication, laboratory requisition and operation of laboratory equipment.
-Personal characteristics. Highly responsible, effective communicator, compassion for companion animals, interest in the health and welfare of the business as well as the clients, supportive of co-workers.
-Physical abilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, bend and have physical strength and mobility to treat and restrain, with the assistance of one additional staff member, the vast majority of dogs and cats expected to be seen on a daily basis.
