DESCRIPTION:Excitement is growing for this year's "Christkindlmarkt" which is set for November 25th in downtown Plain.  In Bavaria\, Christmas wares and gifts are sold in the festival-style setting of a Christkindlmarkt\, meaning "Christ Child Market."  It is associated with the celebration of Christmas with the upcoming four weeks of Advent celebrated by way of St. Luke's Church. \n\n \n\nThe Village of Plain is participating in the day which coincides with National Small Business Saturday. This is a great weekend to support our local businesses in Plain:  \n\nBeauty Justice\, Block 23\, Cedar Grove Cheese\, Country Crossroads Floral & Gifts\, Crossroads Spa & Salon\, Dave's On Main\, Ederers Do-It\, Mobile One Stop\, Peoples Community Bank\, Plain Kwik Stop\, Ring's Bar\, Sam's Place and Straka Meats.\n\n \n\n Horse Drawn Carriage Ride (3:00 - 7:00 pm)\n\nThe Peoples Community Bank Staging Area\n\nMain Street near The Peoples Community Bank\n\nEnjoy a nostalgic ride in a horse-drawn carriage through the Christmas lit village of Plain for a small fee. Sip on a cup of hot chocolate provided by The Peoples Community Bank while you wait!!\n\n \n\nVisit Santa Claus!
