DESCRIPTION:Twice each month during the summer\, we will dive into the summer library theme: "Coloring Our World." \n\nCome prepared to get creative and messy with art projects that alternate between Art Inspired (when we will make artwork inspired by art traditions around the world- by folk artist as well as famous masters) and The Science of Art (where we will explore the science behind some cool art techniques).\n\nAges 4-17 are welcome to come create!\n\nOur tentative schedule:\n\n6/18- Art Inspired (Whimsical\, colorful wire sculptures inspired by Alexander Calder) 1PM\n\n6/25- Science of Art (Explore color theory with lots of messy color mixing and experimenting) 10:30AM\n\n7/9- Art Inspired (Colorful dot paintings inspired by Australian artists) 1PM\n\n7/23- Science of Art (Playful perspective\, exploring how our eyes perceive and can play tricks on us!) 10:30AM\n\n8/6- Art Inspired (Vibrant Mexican folk art) 1PM\n\n*Second August date TBD
